Wacky musings for May 27th

As most of you may or may not know, Bluetooth was named after the Norse King Harald Bluetooth, who united tribes in Scandinavia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harald_Bluetooth)
I feel that if Bluetooth can be named after a notable King, other software and protocols should as well, here are a few suggestions:

Blackbeard: pirating software, of course, wouldn’t you trust all your pirating needs to arp gram named after one of the most famous pirates ever? Runner up is Captain Kidd.

Firewall:
Stonewall Jackson… No intruder would even dare attempt to penetrate your system if you were protected by a program with this name.
Runner up/tie with Admiral Nelson.
Any other military hero would also work well.

Antivirus:
Alexander Fleming, discoverer of penicillin, enough said.
Other famous doctors would also work… Even Sigmund Freud would be useful… at least if you don’t mind your computer asking viruses why they think they want to attack it.

Browser:
Say goodbye to Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera, say hello to Marco Polo, Leif Ericson* and Captain Cook.

Word/text/printing:
Gutenberg, need I say more?

As you can see, it’s easy to name programs after famous people, why no one has done this already is beyond me.
