R.I.P Howard A. Anderson

It is a sad thing when one of the people behind many of the most iconic tv shows of the twentieth century dies and few people know who he was.

Such is the case with Howard A. Anderson. While not an actor or producer, he was one man who helped shape television, without his work many of the introductions to shows everyone still knows would have been completely different.

Howard A. Anderson was the man who made the introductions to such shows as: The Andy Griffith Show, Get Smart, Happy Days, the Twilight Zone and many others.

He was also one of the mainn special effect people on the original Star Trek series, he created the opening, the transporter effect and also painted most of the planet backgrounds.

Howard A. Anderson was a true pioneer in special effects, his work will live on for generations to come.
